Did you know I’m one of those odd folx who actually enjoys performing?
Despite the huge DO NOT DISTURB sign I internalized at birth, and ever feeling my big energy and sexuality were too much for my family and the conservative Christian culture I grew up in, I did know at an early age how much I loved to inspire others from the stage.
You’ll learn more about my formative years and some of the wounds I’ve transformed into humor in my upcoming sneak preview comedy show on May 22, 2022. Join me on zoom at 10 AM Pacific/1 PM Eastern.
Romp with me through my childhood in Southern California raised by a church choir director dad and preschool teacher mom. Then learn how I discovered orgasms and all about my adventures and misadventures as a 20-something travel writer, turned scantily clad showgirl in Europe, all culminating in what I’m up to now at 52 portrayed with silly, offbeat, wildsexyfree me flair.
Consider this invitation to the preview as a playdate.
The show is irreverent and sassy, but comes from original innocence, the place within our hearts that is untainted by life’s traumas and challenges.
This first show in a trilogy, “Queen LaQueef Tells All” is dedicated to all the real sex workers who risk their lives to provide valuable services worldwide. And even more to all the humans who are trafficked for sex against their will.
Of course it’s primarily for the you in me, any part of us that feels too much or undeserving of affection, connection and untamed joy.
Every time you laugh know your joy sends ripples of consent into the multiverse. Your laughter rings out to dissolve power over structures until we all live wild and free in dignity.
I am first up in Alicia Dattner’s Solo Showdown New Work Festival where I and my classmates will read our new work for an audience for the first time.
Please be prompt if you’d like to be with me because much of the show is set up in the opening act.
Your loving presence and laughter would mean so much!
